About Us

New Beginnings Transition Homes, Inc. is a Christ-based jail/prison after-care program and facility that provides a Christian family environment for up to 15 months for newly released inmates.

We are an eccumenical organization partnering with several churches and organizations in the West Kentucky region.

The purpose and mission of the New Beginnings Transition Homes, Inc. is to provide a structured and educational environment which will assist qualified persons released from incarceration to prepare for more successful re-entry into society. Our goal is to lead students to a life-changing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ in order to positively affect their work, family, church, and social life.

New Beginnings Transition Homes' History

New Beginnings Transition Homes, Inc. is an outgrowth program of the Westside Jail/Prison Ministry, providing music and worship services, Christian counseling, and Bible studies to inmates since 1995.

Out of this Jail/Prison Ministry grew a post-prison program called New Beginnings Support Group which provides those released from incarceration support in the form of fellowship, potlucks, inspiration, and Christian studies.

New Beginnings Outreach Team allows volunteers along with former inmates to reach out into the community to determine and meet needs.

As this ministry has matured we have seen the benefits of Christian instruction with inmates and those released from incarceration. We are taking the next step in this ministry and adding on a full time post-prison ministry, New Beginnings Transition Homes, Inc.

Where we're headed...

Our plan is a phased approach beginning with a home for six to eight women with the option to add other homes in the future, for either men or women, as needs require and resources become available.

As stated elsewhere, we are an eccumenical organization and have no denominational ties. We are, however, a Christian organization.

"Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms."
