Amazon’s drone delivery service pilot program faces new scrutiny in College Station, Texas

01:33

Amazon is testing its drone delivery service in College Station, Texas but some residents who live near the launch site say the drones are a little too loud. That’s despite tests by City officials showing the noise level for a Prime Air drone is below the city’s daytime ordinance limit. The city’s Mayor, John Nichols, says it’s good business having Amazon there but he’s working with them and the FAA to find a solution to keep the noise at a minimum. Possible solutions include flying quieter drones and moving the drone facility farther away from neighborhoods. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports.
