The new 30-second spot comes as Trump tries to distance himself from the playbook of conservative priorities written by his key allies.

Both sides initially agreed to a debate on Sept. 10, but Trump later threatened to back out, and Harris sought to change one of the ground rules.

The former president admitted during a podcast appearance that he did not win the election against Biden, while saying later that it "was a fraud."

House Republican leaders are considering tying federal funding to a GOP election bill that Democrats say is a poison pill. The deadline to avoid a shutdown is Sept. 30.
